About Karin

My oil paintings are an intuitive exploration of the feminine spirit, love of nature and beauty, expressed through vibrant color and fluid motion.

Smiling woman with shoulder-length brown hair sitting outdoors on a blue and white blanket, wearing a beige top and white floral cover-up, with jewelry on her wrist and finger, in a backyard with trees and wooden fence.

Each canvas begins as an emotional response, with the final form revealing itself through the act of painting. The creative process for me is journey of discovery, dictated entirely by feeling; some works are completed in a number of hours, while other sit for years until the intuitive moment arises to bring them to completion.

I draw inspiration from the ethereal and angelic worlds, and a strong belief in the shining powerful energy that illuminates in all of us! Ultimately, I strive to create worlds that evoke a feeling of love emotion and connection in every viewer.

Karin’s Journey

Karin Lynn Furman is a self taught painter, based in San Jose California. Having been strongly influenced from growing up in a creative family, inspiring art throughout her travels, and a previous career as a massage therapist, she has had a lifelong passion for all things artistic, spiritual and creative!

When she is not creating art, Karin is busy running a business with her husband, enjoying her family of 3 kids and 2 grandkids, traveling, hiking with her dogs, and gardening.
